Speaking of tipping, I remember years ago being in a pub in London with my cousin and I tipped a quid when served my first pint. He looked at me like I was crazy. I didn’t realize one doesn’t do that there…at least not way back then. I’ll tip well when tipping is expected but I do think there is something to be said for putting the employer on the hook to provide a decent wage and not making servers live off tips. I can see the advantage of having control over what you give based on the service provided, but it’s gotten out of hand when I’m expected to throw a buck or loose change in a makeshift plastic piggy bank thing at the corner store when picking up a coffee.
If one doesn’t tip, even when experiencing horrible service at a bar, one basically won’t be served, so it defeats the purpose of rewarding people for providing good service.
Montrose, I didn’t get a chance to say before but it was nice bumping into you on the train so randomly. We’ll keep you updated on the next get together.
Sis and myself will prolly be at the house tour. Will email you closer to the date for advance tix if we both can make it.
I told my office manager once, “Only hire nerds” after the teen girls she did hire drew all these teen boys who got all rowdy. One adult male asked me, “How do you get any work done?”
Jester, you were in rare form last night. What was with the worm on the floor thing?
LOL Brighton!!!

Oy, Snappy. You might need someone in PR to help you with your sales pitch.
