denton, yeah i thought about that, but i think those are the places they normally visit and probably the only places they know OF nyc. i was thinking maybe showing them like creepy old houses, or interesting cemeteries or something that they normally wouldnt think about seeing or even know exist in nyc.
Biff, aside from HP, as Denton suggests, I’ve also heard great things about Lenovo laptops. A friend who used to work at IBM has a Lenovo and loves it.

CG, I currently have a Dell netbook running Linux Ubuntu, no probs, but to be truthful I haven’t had a Dell laptop in at least three years. I could be wrong but I don’t think Dell makes them these days anyway, most laptops come from Taiwan or similar places.

IBM laptops used to be super reliable and packed with processing power.
The current IBM Laptops are really not IBM ones but rather IBM brand slapped onto Lenovo computers.
