  1. CGar, didn’t eat at Rayuela – just had drinks. It was a really nice place…sat upstairs. I ate at Morandi in West Village (as mentioned here yesterday) and it was very good.

mopar, thanks for all the info!

  2. “ENY, they lost last night. this long days off is going to mess Joba up”

You gotta lose SOME time, M4L. That’s what six-game leads are for.

I don’t see this team going on any extended losing streaks w/CC at the head of the staff and the Yanks living up to the “Bronx Bombers” name. The season is not over, but I’m not sweating it, either.

“I truly hope they don’t blow their lead this year – especially to Boston!”

Keep the faith, CarGar. It’s gonna be OK. NO negative thoughts!!

  3. Good luck with the move, Gem. It sounds like everything from the sale to the move is going very efficiently.

Biff, never been to Pearl but I love Marys and I hear they’re practically the same. Last week, we wanted to go to Mary’s but it was too late to get in, so we went to Aquagrille, where I haven’t been in years because I can’t afford it. It was so unbelievably good. Even the oysters were delicious even though it was 90 degrees out. I am still in a state of bliss just thinking about it. Now I want to go there every week, ha!

  4. “there’s really only so much stuff one can fill their brain with, but yeah i didnt know who he was. im sure i know lots of things that everyone SHOULD know that dont either, so it all evens out.”

Sherlock Holmes famously didn’t know the Earth traveled around the Sun, and said when Watson told him so, that he would promptly forget it. “A man’s brain originally is like an empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose.”

He can, however, identify 1,000 different varieties of tobacco remains.
