  1. “Talk about karma – just went to 7-11 to get a cup of coffee, on the way back an old lady asked me to carry her bags to the bus stop for her.”

Instant! And did you carry them for her?

  2. The smell in the tropics (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia) of the natural rotting of vegetationbecause of the tropical climate evokes a lot of memories for me.

Also, the smell of the Tuk Tuks in Bangkok, their fetid exhaust mixed with the street food vendors on a hot night after I’ve come from Tawan bar with a guy on each arm.

  3. “Ma Griffe”

Wow, I haven’t smelt that in ages but when you said it it came right back.

Anyone else love the smell of Captain Black Pipe smoke? My dad’s best friend used to smoke it and whenever he was at our house that smell used to float around like he most amazing incense. Now, my next door neighbors brother who comes to visit him each summer from Barbados smokes little cigars on the front porch that smell exactly the same. I love when the scent wafts through the windows.

  4. I love the smell of downtown manhattan on a humid, but not too hot evening – its a combo of restaurants, car fumes and the musty, dirtyness of the city. Reminds me of my college days wandering around all dizzy.
