  1. Thanks M4L. I’m sure at least one out of four of your questions is a yes. I need more info to be sure if I have 2 or 3 out of 4. But you forgot #5: will I still have an office to hide in and post on Brownstoner all day long?

Arkady, I’ll definitely lose out a bit on the vesting, but I’m more concerned about future opportunities, ongoing compensation, benefits, and, last but not least, the work environment. M4L pretty much summed up what I need to figure out.

Cobble, it’s very early in the process. We’ll see what happens.

  2. PGH is a foreign trust or something too. remember a buddy of mine complaining about add’l complicated forms he needed to file for his taxes and wish he bought PWE instead simply on the less tax forms

  3. rob, I’ve been 5’6″ (which, admittedly, isn’t saying much) since I stopped growing (circa age 7), and all of a sudden my doctor tells me I’m only 5’5″. I’m sorry, but an inch may not be much to some people, but when one is severely vertically impaired, an inch is a big deal.

  4. Hiya CGar! We were wondering where you were! Your tent on the deck is ready! I’ll even toss in a bottle of bug spray for the ‘skeeters! ; )

My computer died, yes, it was very sad, and very expensive and very time consuming to get everything off the old harddrive and onto the new one. Exhale, but it’s fine now! Then we went away to the NJ shore for a few days of brainless beach activity—very nice!

  5. I don’t think there’s a leveraged nat gas play. I bought it when the yield was 21%…it is now 13%. It’ll do really well if nat gas prices turn.

I think the reason health care did so well is because of Buffets position in BDX & JNJ which were announced over the weekend.

BDX is a great company (as is JNJ) and sold off last week on the “outlook.” I just wish they’d pay out more earnings to make a juicier yield. It’s the type of stock I’d put away in my IRA but I’d like a higher yield if I’m holding it.

    PFE is cheap.

  6. i found out something shocking this afternoon. i was at the bank and you know how they have a giant ruler on the door exit to give a quick description of a bank robber’s height i guess. well i dont know what possessed me but i measured myself according to my bank’s ruler im just a tiny fraction of 5 foot 8. all my records say 5’9″ and that’s what i thought i was all my adult life. 🙁 should i talk to customer service at the bank and tell them their ruler might be off? (they did just open this branch a few weeks ago).?
