Well, GLD doesn’t actually own much gold for one thing. Some of the commodity ETFs have had curbs put on them because of the amount of trading they represent in the underlying commodity. The stock ETFs are all pretty plain vanilla.
why all of sudden ETF is getting a bad rep recently? Been seeing recently a bunch of negative headlines regarding ETFs

etson, what do you think about the role of these fairly new commodity etf’s? Just as easy to go short as long in them, but I guess there is a tendency to go long for most small investors.
