“Tea & Sympathy got bad p.r. a few days ago for racial insensitivity.”
Arkady, really? Do you have a link to that? I’m surprised as there was quite a mix of people there, including tables of African Americans, Asians and Caucasians. Everyone seemed to be having a very nice time (it’s a small place so hard to avoid noticing how everyone is doing). There were two British women serving the tables and they were both incredibly friendly to everyone as far as I could tell. And it seemed natural to them (i.e., not like they might have changed their behaviour due to recent bad press).
Is that the film about the art collectors’? The director was interviewed on WNYC a couple weeks ago. They’re fascinating! Thanks for the reminder, I want to see this.

> Hung is surprisingly good.
It’s probably good to be Hung.
Mmmmmm mushy peas.
Biff, I ate at Tea and Sympathy once when a Chinaman friend was in town and he wanted to go there being such an anglophile and a potato queen.
> Speaking of tea, I ate at Tea and Sympathy…
Haven’t been there in years. Got taken there on a date once. Cute place.
