im blogaciding if those lame American Apparel ads are not removed. (lol not that anyone would care) but still, i just cant stand the complete saturation that lame ass store has on every single internet site. fugly ass 20 year old models with droopy skin who look like they are 35 in hideous clothes. barf. wtf does a clothing store that caters to wannabe cool people have to do with architecture and real estate!? anyone?
by not raising the rent you come across as a caring and understanding landlord. by decreasing the rent you come across as desperate.
i was seriously bummed for a bit when our landlord raised our rent by 50 bux, but yesterday after that HOTD thread i came to realized our rent was well below market rate for the area so im not so bummed anymore.
M4L, I found a good website for you. These guys are flippers in BedStuy and other hoods and they have a listing of their houses. Not my original detail left after they are done with the brownstones but a friend of mine went to one of the open houses and said they did a pretty good job in the building including all new electrical, plumbing, etc.
The landlord might agree because he’s only out $1,500 with the rent decrease. He may be out more than that if it’s vacant for one month. That’s how I’d look at it as a LL

same with me on the rent, gemini. I didn’t raise it or lower it and they didn’t ask.
Great wedding video.
Unitarian church???
I don’t see that happening in a Lutheran or Catholic church, maybe a progressive Episcopalian!!!!
Gem – I always cry at weddings – but not usually tears of laughter – great fun.

I love haggling with people. So much fun!
I kinda agree with Rob on the whole rent reduction thing. we didnt lower our rent for tenants, nor did they ask. I didn’t raise it though either
