  1. Haha Biff! No, I’m serious though. I held onto Wells Fargo Stock that held very firm over the years, completely tanked and then shot back up to fantastic numbers before leveling back out.

Thing is the only day that REALLY matter was the day I sold it and it was after it shot way back up so I did great.

Doesn’t the same principle hold for homes or am I completely missing something?

  2. M4L- Not ofr nothing re Sanitation men, they deal with a lot of rotting, horrible and sometimes toxic substances. A few years ago one died from chemical fumes in a garbage bag that was thrown out with regular trash. They have found dead babies and body parts- they get very little respect or appreciation. At the trade Center very few people know how much of the truly awful stuff they were responsible for taking out. While the larger remains were taken out with much ceremony and attention, the more disintegrated or minuscule remains were removed by sanitation men- many of whom volunteered on their off work hours to assist. They were wonderful, big hearted guys and the city treated their contribution like shit. No one thanked them or even understood why they were there. Bloomberg didn’t even want to include the Dept. in the final closing ceremony until all the rest of us- vollies, NYPD and FDNY protested. So if we need to blame anyone, blame the city for trying to squeeze a buck out of our hides by coming up with ridiculous, unknown regulations.

  3. I refuse to buy bags at all. I use bins for recycling & market bags for rubbish. I agree w/ you 100% about trying to fill those massive black bags – stuff would petrify before it’s filled.

  4. “What, isn’t it a moot point if he has no desire to sell?”

Mind your business! If I want your opinion I will give it to you!

Dave where are you??!!!!! How much is that doggie in the window?

    The What (Ker-Boom)

Someday this war is gonna end…

  5. Snappy,

Unless you got a ticket, this sounds like a missed pick up. Happens a lot.

People put out white bags on my block all the time with no incident. Unless this was recycling which must be in a clear bag (blue is ok for cans and bottles). Report it as a missed pick up. They can’t ticket and will have to take it next time. Or get a can.
