Rob, I’m tellin’ ya…that show should be hosted by the What all the time, not just once! Or, they should give him a NYC based offshoot of the show like they have different designers and hosts for various areas on Designed to Sell. What would have NYC sellers in check so damned fast they wouldn’t have time to cry about it.
Snappy, those idiots adding to the collapse now. when they have to sell (for whatever reason), they’re in desperate situation so most likely to get hammered on the price and if being foreclosed on (really really hammered on the price). They’re fueling the price drops. I would love to buy a place from idiots like this and hammer them on the price.
I LOVE Buy Me! It’s basically the same principle as Real Estate Intervention. That woman on REI had her head up her @ss. But, I tried to rationalize it and say that when you are attached to a property and your bottom line is riding on it, it’s hard to be objective. Still though. She was a total do-do. In the end they sold for 500k…basically what Mike told them they would sell for. Tools. Did you see the episode where the couple got so mad they didn’t want to tell Sabrina what they ended up in contract for? I was like “GO SABRINA GIRL!” when she went off on them and said, “We came here to try to help you and now you want to act like this?” I howled!
Rob – you and Me both
I have lived in Park Slope for like 6 years now and for the life of me can’t remember the named streets near Flatbush either! – bad bad bad!
does anyone have any good pneumonic devices to remember the order of the named streets in park slope starting at 1st street and going upward toward flatbush? ive been trying to memorize the order for a little over a year now with no luck 🙁
SNAPPY!
OMG I JUST watched that on tivo last night! am sorry but I wanted to slap the wife – she just couldn’t accept their plight. And I just knew at the end when Mike is getting in his car and shaking his head while on the phone that the Patels lost that $515K deal! – right? sorry but their condo was sooooo boring except the fireplace which was nice – their kitchen was blah. am not sure I have an answer to your question, I do beleive those people added to the mess b/c I think they soon found themselves underwater and when they couldn’t keep getting home equity lines of credit to supplement their lifestyles, they gave up and tried to sell
Do you watch Buy Me? I saw 1 episode and liked it alot – sorta like Real Esate intervention
snappy i saw that episode!, i think it was the first one. good show!!! a couple of people on this site need a little real estate intervention actually. i hope the what gets to special guest host.
I have a mneumonic device for the cranial nerves from when I was a biology mapor:
Old ornery oscar tried to abduct fat Agnes’ glossy vagina single handedly.

M4L, Michael Wong was certainly the more popular of the two back then – and definitely could be taken more seriously as an actor.
