This one was more along the lines of couples who had problems and the hosts would come in and figure out ways to change the house to make them happier couples. I got all of this over turkey at Thanksgiving in Vermont last year (he was traveling back and forth to LA to shoot episodes at the time) and wouldn’t swear I have all the details right.
M4L, true. That was more for the old schoolers out there. I have Google Maps on my Crackberry, which is very handy. You can tell distances and plan routes (walking or car) from one place to another, see your location, etc.
Lechecal…HGTV had a similar show with the host Chase Dacoda…a couple who had wildly differing design styles would take a test and she would evaluate it and then design the room in such a way that both their requirements were fulfilled. It was a good premise, but every design she did was always more accomodating to the man’s taste. I can’t recall the name of the show.
WOW Winthrop!! – what a great story. Did you accept?
That’s really awesome, and it’s good to hear Sir Paul is still down to earth dispite all his fame.
My cousin’s husband was going to be a co-host on an HGTV show. They filmed a bunch of episodes and then it didn’t air. Something about couples therapy through architecture.
Chicken, Bruce was NOT an import. He is an ABC who started career in US then got big in Asia. Besides, when I referenced the imports, am referring to the more recent influx (ie along with the directors who are fairing much better – maybe us Chinaman are meant for behind the scenes). On Jackie Chan, he has been flopping 1 after the other. The only commercial success he had is due to Chris Tucker carrying him.

Okay, pretty stupid and nonsensical, but it has worked for me when visiting friends and looking at houses:
Prospect Park stirs the saint lying beneath your (ur) President’s car.
(Prospect, Park, Sterling, St. Johns, Lincoln, Berkeley, Union, President, Carroll)

Winthropst, and that’s how that story ended? finished it and embellish if there were any juicy details
Is there another Brownstoner event in the works?
