CGar, when we were young and vacationing on Cape Cod, Friendly’s was a real treat!!!!
m4l, i’ve stopped at that McD’s over the years when getting gas at Mobil next door. But I pass the Court Street McD’s on one of my routes home, and I don’t think I’ve ever succeeded in getting a shake there.
Too bad there’s no Friendly’s in the City. Friendly’s makes great shakes (Fribbles in their parlance).
I tried the Checkers on Court just to see what all the fuss is. I have to say good burger and fries.
I would call the Fast Times mall pizzeria where old men are welcome to troll for teenage waitresses low brow, although I’m not sure what they would call that in Bed Stuy. (snap!)

Awarding yourself a “snap” is as lame as awarding yourself a QOTD. Now we’ve come full circle.
Also, if you’ve actually been lurking for a year you should know that teenage waitresses are not my style.

Milk shake:
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 qt milk (preferably whole)
Blend in a Waring-style blender. Add flavorings to taste. Anything other than chocolate is for girls or “f words.”
Best served with a peanut butter sandwich on white bread accompanied by chips.
