If any of the gardeners among us is a Smith & Hawken fan, I read in yesterday’s Times that they’re closing after 30 years. The nearest stores for clearance are in Scarsdale, Manhasset, and Westfield, NJ.
Oh Bxgrl!!! I’m stuck between amazement that he catches the flies while being completely blind and laughter at the image of him sliding tush up arms out in prayer position!
“Had a thought- maybe a special, gilded chair for the HoTH? After all, if King Arthur could do it….”
And break up the aesthetic? Ha! Maybe I’ll just get him a trucker hat that says “Squirrel Coroner” on it.
Dave, Bxgrl and I noticed that building the other day, too. Gawd! I checked the SH designation map, and only the corner buildings on the one side of Macon where it intersects Lewis are landmarked, so they probably are able to do whatever they want.
Saraghina was great. Rates with the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ate in the garden, and it was a lot of fun. Pretty crowded with all kinds of people, too. This was around 7:45 pm. Can’t wait to go back. Hope to join you guys on Sunday.
THL- you’d love Sard, Lord of Doom. He’s all black, completely blind and he catches flies between his two front paws. The problem is he can’t figure out how to get his paws close to his mouth to eat the yucky thing so he pushes himself across the floor, his front legs stretched out in front, butt in the air, trying to catch up to his own paws. *sigh*

Yeah, the street kitties are straight up gansta. The 3 kittens of hers that we took in from her first (that I knew about) litter if they find a bug in the house not only do they kill it they eat them. They’ll fight over it too.
The other 2 cats we have just meow until we come over and handle the situation. They are pampered, indoors their whole life, kitties. I swear they’re saying ewwww…mom…get his disgusting crawling thing!! It touched my paw grosssss!! Now I’m going to have to bathe myself for several hours! I skeeve!
We have a giant squirrel in the backyard who loves to tease the outback crew. He lost his tail once but still runs around the yard. Actually, most times the cats don’t even pay attention to him- which seems to piss him off no end. (and that was so thoughful of you THL. After all, it was only too respectful of you to let your husband have the man honors).

I’m respectful of him that way!
I’d even let him sit at the head of the dining room table, if it wasn’t round!
DH- Oh well, I do appreciate your having tried.

Wow THL – your cat is straight up gangsta!
Unfortunately my new roommate is allergic to cats. I broached the subject with her last night and she was dead set against it.
I need my own place.
my son loves to feed the squirrels so guess he can never like cats (on top of fact wife is super allergic to them)
