I think I got off the JC kick.but I still like it there! who knows where we’ll buy. It’s so disheartening to me that the only houses available to us in BK are shanty shacks in fring nabes for 600-700K. For the same amount of money we can get a gorgeous house in Montclair NJ. I know it’s not Brooklyn – I know I know….. 🙂

planning on renting for about 6 months – 1 year in park slope/south slope and hopefully buy a house or condo in the nabe. It’s bittersweet obviously b/c I think I have a great house, but it became too much to handle

I have missed you all but I have been swamped at work.
I just wanted to say that I am officially in contract on the sale of my house, so in about a month I will post annoying renter type questions, so please don’t hate on me, ok????
I know I sound like an old fart, but not many can do it like Mel Brooks and Woody Allen these days.

sixyears, question for you. I saw Obama’s picture in a few public schools this year. While I’m happy everytime I see his picture and the word President on it, I was wondering, though, if this is done in the public schools for all Presidents. I can’t recall whether or not I saw W’s picture posted during his presidency. I would assume it was.
On the one hand, I wouldn’t expect the school system to show an explicit bias toward one President over the other. However, on the other hand, I know the majority of educators seemed to be really pulling for an Obama victory, and maybe they don’t mind displaying this preference.
Any insight?
