  1. “On the plus side, Andlinger paid only $25 million in March 2005 for the apartment, where the master bedroom suite includes an office, his-and-hers dressing rooms, his-and-hers bathrooms and a gym; the 41-foot-long living room has floor-to-ceiling windows; the corner library/office is covered in red lacquer; the dining room has a view of the Hudson River; the pantry has a laundry center; and the five bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms.”

It sold for $37.5 MM, a $12.5 MM profit over 4 years.

I’m telling you all, and yet you mock me, IT IS THE EN-SUITE BATHROOMS THAT ARE THE KEY TO A QUICK PROFIT.

  2. Good for Stella Doro. Hopefully the fools will be happy with $7.25 and two weeks (if they are lucky) at Whole Foods.
I’m sure they’re be happy where ever they go with lower taxes and expenses.

  3. That’s what gets me about unions…they are always off marching and hollering about something, but they never wanna tell you up front that they often already have a sweetheart deal that most under/unemployed Americans would love to be ‘stuck with.’ Greedy F!cks.

  4. What gets me is not the hourly or the basic benefits- but c’mon! 9 weeks of paid leave? And the union refused to negotiate and demands? Unions have got to get a grip- I have no love for them. They put my father out of business years ago because his shop voted not to go union. They forget- we aren’t in the same world as Debs and Gompers.

  5. “The Stella Doro factory in the Bronx is closing 🙁 They’re moving elsewhere. The article says the union didn’t think the 18-23 dollars an hour and 9 WEEKS PAID LEAVE (as well as pension and healthcare benefits) was enough. 9 weeks paid leave????? Thank you unions. And now wave goodbye to the jobs.”

Management asked the Unions for concessions and the union said “NO”!

Stella Doro said “F****** You” and now moving away! This is an example where people overestimate their position. Just like the fool who brought/will buy overpriced Real Estate in the Ghetto…

    The What (Unemployment is at?)
