  1. I have to say I’m much more in agreement with The What with respect to MJ than most others here. Maybe some of the pomp and circumstance is over the top but the guy is a legendary entertainer, the likes of which we will probably not see for years and years, if ever.

Didn’t they used to have enormous turnouts and press coverage way back when celebrities died?

  2. What,

I guess I shouldn’t mention the fact that all of the internets people have been throwing out theories such as:

The ones claiming that the family blissfully ignored his drug use for years and years because he was no a longer viable commodity alive. He’s worth much more to them now.

Serious, that’s the rumor out there.

I also shouldn’t mention that on TV this morning there was a discussion that they even kept the kids nanny away until she’d sign a waiver stating that she’s not know anything about his drug use even though in the past she’d said she’d had to pump his stomach when he’d induced to many heavy hitters.

It’s all over the internets What.

So why don’t you go attack them instead of someone who just wants the man to rest with dignity for the sake of his kids.

  3. Relax “sam” and “Dave” (Ha Ha – Sam and Dave!). Something will come along in the next few post-Michael days that will be the NEXT “Biggest Thing That Ever Happened.” That’s the great thing about the news – and general human interest in news developments. They are fleeting. Just give it a few days and you guys (and everyone else) will be able to get all worked up again over something else.

  4. What, I think its a tragedy that he died, especially at this age. Is it a loss of one of the greatest entertainers in history? YES.

But it’s all this faux acting from people who do not know him at all, have never met him, and probably haven’t listened to him in a quite a few years that seems a bit over the top.

This sort of thing happens when many, but not all, celebrities, die. Lady Di comes to mind. MLK. JFK. Not many others. Yes, always a true tragedy. Very sad.

I remember when JFK and MLK died. You do too.

All very sad but if people out there crying think they are experiencing something akin to what their relatives and close friends experience then they are very wrong.

  5. and 10 days and counting of mourning for an entertainer. The collective american must be on the verge of a nervous breakdown to be so affected by a death of a celebirty. By the way many our acting 6/25 is the new 9/11. Of which I really regret saying.
