I really don’t think that illegal immigrants have taken jobs away from Americans who are interested in working. I do believe that some line has to be drawn when a larger corporation hires them so that they don’t have to pay benefits. Many restaurants and other small businesses could not exist around the country without them.
The whole system is f*&*&ed up as to how to deal with the millions that are here. Did you know that in 2007, Mexicans working in the US sent back $26B to mexico.
You’d be surprised at how many “beneath me” jobs I held while in HS and college.
Not trying to place all the blame on illegals but, I don’t see white teenage girls in those jobs these days.
Could it be that parents are making their kids do stuff that would enhance a college application instead? Maybe now kids DO think these jobs are beneath them. We’d become quite the indulgent society until this economy hit and set us all straight with a hard lined reality check.
I don’t know. Point is, I think there are a lot of factors in place one of them certainly is the illegal immigrant factor.
Nobody noticed that American Apparel seems to win the award for the most illegal immigrants in one factory? lol. But hey, it’s Made in America!
