  1. I love Bought & Sold. I love the one guy who always has a theme for his open houses. Over the top and wonderful! They clearly know what they are doing, as it says they all average 5-10mil in sales per year.

People crack me up crying about paint colors they don’t like. If you are house hunting but can’t afford to repaint a house, then you seriously need to check yourself and reconsider buying.

  2. insert- I will have to catch that show with Mike Aubrey!
have you seen “Bought and Sold” with the real estate crew from NJ- that’s a good show I think and has me now wanting to move to Montclair or South orange!

  3. I also watch HGTV- its fun but MM and I have howled over some of the homebuyer comments. “Oh honey- they painted this room putrid pink! I’m not sure I can live in this house!!!!”

“Oh no- I don’t think I could live with that light fixture”

I thought the fun of moving into your own house would be the decorating!

  4. “Are you saying that you choose to remain sexually ambiguous, or is it just Ms. What?

Classic example– Joe from Brooklyn! You know damn well this Asshead has been here for 2 years and now he’s a native Brooklynite! Please spare me!

    Got it, The What.

The What (Joe Blow me in Brooklyn)

Someday this war is gonna end…

  5. Gem…I wonder the same things about those home buyers. They’ve got a new show with some guy named Mike Aubrey, an “Real Estate Interventionist”. It’s sad but funny at the same time. THis guy’s job is to explain to home sellers, by showing them active and recently sold comps, that their home is overpriced and/or not very nice and therefore not worth the money they are trying to sell for. When I saw that show, I immediately thought of the What. That should totally be his show. By the time he got done with the foolish home owners, they’d be running to reduce their prices. The few episodes I’ve seen with the Mike Aubrey guy, the owners tend to fight him and swear that they know more than he does and ignore his advice. On 2 shows the couples refused to budge on their price and wound up having to rent out the home and still have to cough up a couple hundred per month to meet the mortgate payment. Just plain sad.
