Farrah Fawcett died & went to Heaven. When she got there, God gave her one wish. Farrah wished for all the children of the world to be safe. Then Michael Jackson died
“I guess he didn’t have an impact on anyone or anything.”
Of COURSE he did. No one would deny that. The thing is we don’t bring up Shakespeare when we discuss current authors works.
Yet, for some reason people are compelled to continually remind, reflect and compare all musicians and their influences and success against the Beatles. Why?
Can’t we have a discussion that DOESN’T involve them? Or is that not o.k.?
William Shakespeare really hasn’t done anything noteworthy since 1616. How lame of him. I guess he didn’t have an impact on anyone or anything.
I can concede one can get tired of the Beatles, but one can’t deny the genius in their music. Yes, they were heavily influenced (and completely acknowledged it) by African American artists, but they also completely changed Rock and Roll. The music they put out in an 8 or 9 year span is remarkable.
THL – “Out! Out! Damned What!” “Et tu, Mr. B?”
