wow DH, those are some good incentives but the horror story that was posted about mgmt company being in cahoots with the builder in a new construction a couple of days ago would have me scared shitless to buy in a new condo. I am happy I have a hole in a wall in a financially stable co-op at times like these.
I’ve been surfing the web and it seems alot of these buildings in Williamsburg that are away from the waterfront are doing some real creative things to move these things – i believe mr b touched on it last week but i’ve been seeing developers offering:
FHA approved 3.5% downpayments
closing costs payed for
big price chops
while i’m not really interested in buying in north brooklyn – i can see how it would be attractive for someone to buy a place in the neighborhood and only pay 1,700 for a mortgage on a *nice* place rather then paying 2100 a month in rent for an old railroad 1 bedroom.
DH, you’ll need alot more than a few glasses of wine to buy one of those. Heck, I would go for free booze.
bxgrl, can I come to Cloisters too if I am free? (I’ve never been either and having a tour guide like Montrose will be priceless. I’ll even car service everyone :o).
P.S. bxgrl – the Russki culture shock trip will be scheduled sometime next month. I need to work out the details with the Master Planner Biff at some point.
We have Expert! We have gone to Greenwood! And we had a great great day! Our outings have just begun!
Tell me why, you say your outing days are over?
“If the what doesn’t show up to respond to that, or the Harvard thread, then we’ll know he’s gone, at least for now.”
JB and I have our own theory about why the what is gone.

Oh thanks bxgrl, but my outing days are behind me!!
Can’t join you. Maybe next time I can go to ‘an octopus’ garden with you’.
You ladies enjoy the Cloisters and the park, bring a picnic and a blanket.
In Brooklyn, you should go to Greenwood, that’s lovely this time of year.
I guess it’s just your sunshine-y demeanor randi. Like I give a sh*t about your damn PL awards. Go ‘donate’ your free abuse elsewhere.
Cobble- next week is good for me. Expert Textpert- you’re welcome to come with us!
