DeLepp, Yes indeed we have, we went with a friend at the beginning of last summer. We didn’t take bikes, but will sometime this summer for sure.

We were trying to go see the Philharmonic, but it was rained out despite the rain ending early. But we decided to just go across and see the island anyway. We saw some interesting art scattered through out the buildings. Well worth the trip! Will have to look for the hammocks – BH does love a good hammock! ; )

Cobble, have you been to governours island? There’s a free ferry on saturdays from brooklyn and front and rental bikes on the island, though bikes are allowed on ferry too. Also giant red hammocks on the southern side that look out on the bay and lady liberty.

Anything to do with the Grand Ave house weirdness by any chance?! He seemed to have some inside knowledge there.
