Try growing up in Canada, where we actually heard of a guy get a coffee at Tim Horton’s once and NOT be told by the cashier to have a nice day. Or how about when the zamboni driver forces you to stand behind the boards while he’s cleaning the ice because he’s “afraid someone might get hurt”. And I can only hope you never have to experience the torture of having to hear people say “eh” after every sentence.
