Oh, M4L, Kensingtonian, BRG if you are going to the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill triangle area there is much to do!!!!!!!
*Dinner at Piedmont in Durham. My favorite restaurant. There is an art gallery next door. Friend of mine made the bookshelves and desk.
*Locopops in Durham and Chapel Hill. Flavors like mojito and chocolate rosemary.
*Breakfast or lunch at Weaver St. Market in Carrboro. Grocery store in center of town with a lawn and outdoor seating, get the paper and sit for a while, great bakery, coffee, hot and cold foods.
*Lunch or dinner at Carrboritos (sp?). Tacqueria in Carrboro. Good and cheap and they have fresh fruit margaritas. Gay employees with tattoos.
*Cat’s Cradle and Local 506 in Chapel Hill are famous places to see music, though I have never been since the good shows tend to be on the weekdays.
*Keep an eye out for “mill houses” four room houses with a porch and triangle over the porch built for the local mill workers (not sure when).
yeah they are all over soho today. they sorta all just stand there with goofy grins looking confused.
is swine flu admitting his 11217? i finally did just read the ice cream truck (for which i do not even have a comment for really) thread and he is going OFF about his least fav. neighborhood, williamsburg hahahaa.
“Damn, Dirty Hipster, my job as wingman is now even more challenging with all these horned up seamen running around. Although I’m not sure how a guy in a sailor’s outfit will go over at some of the bars we’ll be stopping at.”
Haha – I don’t think seamen will be venturing out into Brooklyn. Although during fleet week it is standard protocol to avoid anything in the east/center village.
rob…I’ve seen that infomercial for “Bump Its.” Do any of you PLUSA ladies here use them????
Kens, I might just run into you at chapel hill – the niece & nephew like the ice cream & noodle shop at the UNC campus
“Was it a sip or a big gulp?”
Don’t seamen come from a sip?
