  1. “I would do that, but I don’t want DH mistaking me for Rob.
    (just kidding)

I thought the Hipsters kicked Rob out?! I don’t think Rob fits into any category he’s a unique creature.

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end..

  2. the chicken, thanks. But I just received word that we will have the most handsome ‘Stoner of all (as unanimously agreed by all posters here) joining us during The Clinton Hill Bar Project on Saturday. Might want to make some of the ladies (and men) reconsider their weekend plans.

  3. sixyears, that place (Mama Lucia’s) always struck me as some kind of a covert mob operation or money laundering. It’s been in the neighborhood forever, I barely ever saw anyone going in and our back in the day and it still remains in business. It’s kind of like that other place that was featured on Brownstoner a while ago.

for home cooking I absolutely love Rocco’s on Ft. Hamilton and 64th. That place is great and been around for many many years. You should defintely check it out. It’s cafeteria style and real italian home cooking.

  4. “Kens, are Brooklyn Heights Asshats invited or are we too square for your hood? Speaking of which, DH, you’ll be happy to know I didn’t shave today so I’ll have a respectable amount of scruff tomorrow, along with jeans and a tshirt, so I can assimilate into the areas we’re going to and not stand out as the dorky PLUSA I am.

Sorry Biff, the area is exclusively for those able to navigate the subway system or bus/road network.

And we can now add modest and self-effacing to handsome, powerful and wise.

  5. “San Reno always has a line but honestly, for pizza, I head to either Grimaldi’s, L&B or DiFara’s”

San Remo is a good local place, but not a destination – though I haven’t tried their restaurant yet. Speaking of local pizza, you should try LoDuca’s at Newkirk Plaza…definitely a step up.

Have you (or chicken, or etson, or anyone) been to Mama Lucia’s at Foster and East 17th? It’s apparently really old school Italian with great service and erratic hours. I haven’t been yet.
