DIBS,
I’ve tried googling the Philly tire shop with the 50 cats. I think it is long gone, now. I thought I would find some post somewhere remembering it, perhaps with photos. No luck. It was on Washington Ave in South Philly, around 8th Street, I think.
Everyone, great to hang out with you last night. To those who missed it, you missed BRG’s fabulous plastic pumps, DH in his blue hoodie (looking uneponomously clean, btw), rob’s stylishly mutilated jeans (also looking quite clean — he passed cobble’s inspection), another curtain call for benson’s borsalino, and the coronation of brownstoner’s very own prom king and queen, not to mention plenty of good conversation with montrose, DIBS, biff, cobble & bh, mopar and mopar’s bh, snappy, amzi, etson, and others. If I left you out, it’s the hangover, sorry.
NOOOO! TownhouseLady, you are suppose to be old, and stern, but in that I wish she was there during the Apocalypse to make things OK and calm every one down sort of way. All well, your young and fun and interesting. I will deal.
I had a great time last night, hugs to all who were there.
It reaffirms my inherent faith in humanity that a group of internet strangers have become real friends who I enjoy hanging around with. Who’d a thunk it? Thanks, Jon!
In my old age and decreptitude, I do wish we could find somewhere where I don’t have to lose my voice shouting all night in order to be heard, but that’s my only complaint.
Biff, thanks for organizing, yet again. And thanks for the video. It was musically amazing, and poignant to see, with Luther Vandross gone, and Whitney no longer what she once was. Life is certainly not predictable or fair. It reminds us that we have to do the best we can with today. An affirmation to all of us girls seeking employment. We will be successful.

You guys should make 4th Ave Pub the next spot. I love that place.
