  1. “Cobble….I see a pair of those shoes in your near future.
    Can I say what BH asked for?”

    Oh god, I vaguely remember – didn’t he ask you WHERE you go them?! Thank g*d you weren’t wearing some crazy lingerie! ; ) LOL!

  2. Rob, you should totally see my hair right now…it’s bordering on comical! I will be spending a lot of time with conditioner and a high-powered blow dryer today! And thanks *not* to Dave for pointing out my naps! LOL

  3. Hi folks;

    It was nice to see everyone last night. I surprised you by showing up, didn’t I? Biff, thanks for the drink! I decided to go on the spur of the moment because I needed a lift-me-up. Last night I had to go to a funeral of a fellow I know from my old parish, and it depressed me. He was about 60 years old, and slightly retarded. He was married to a woman who was also slightly retarded, and they were always happy to have each other. Now she faces life alone, with few relatives around. One thing that always impressed me about my friend was that even though they had very meager means, they were always generous with what they had and donated alot to charities.

    Last night, Cobblehiller told me to “behave” on the OT, so I’ve decided that I need to find my own thing. Hence, I’m putting my old-timer status to good use. I’m going to have a weekly NYC trivia question every Friday on the OT. Here’s the first trivia question, which concerns a subject before my time.

    There exists in New York City a cultural institution that is all but unknown today by locals and visitors alike. I would guess that less than 1% of New Yorkers even know about this institution. However, before World War II it was one of the most famous institutions in NYC, both locally and nationally. Almost all school kids in NYC made a field trip to see it, and I’ve read reports that it was second most-visited spot by tourists.

    So, today’s NYC trivia question is: what is this institution? I’ll check by in a couple of hours to see if anyone has answered it correctly.

  4. DIBS, may I sell you some 15% 30 yr T-bills – given you believe my post that easily.

    no truth to that post at all. “good looking” is what my mother says to me. don’t hear that from anyone else.
