Ditmas Park Corner says that Lark Cafe will open this Friday on Church Ave between East 10th Street and Stratford. It will serve DOUGH doughnuts, Bagel Hole bagels, Blue Marble ice cream, and Stumptown coffee. Looks nice! (Photo above via Ditmas Park Corner.) Also in Ditmas, the empty space at Cortelyou and Marlborough and the old Vox Pop space at Cortelyou at Stratford may both be filled soon. Not far away in Windsor Terrace, residents still don’t want that Walgreens.
Williamsburg/Bushwick
A new restaurant called Station opened on North Seventh Street and serves up French dishes with South African and Thai flavors. There’s a full vegan menu. Fried foodies should head over to Lake Trout, opening at 160 Havemeyer Street. It will serve fried fish, fried shrimp, chicken wings, and eventually beer. Finally in Bushwick, bar/music venue/DIY space Delinquency will open on Morgan Avenue in August.
Elsewhere
In Park Slope, Beastly Bite closed on 7th Avenue and the DOH shuttered Latin restaurant El Viejo Yayo on 5th. Cake Man Raven temporarily closed in Fort Greene and should reopen this month. A flower and tea shop opened this week on Washington Avenue at St. Marks Avenue in Prospect Heights.
