Williamsburg/Bushwick
Williamsburg favorite Radish is opening a supper club and event space at 190 North 14th Street, between Berry and Wythe. It should open this fall. And some sad news from Bushwick: the owners of Life Cafe on Flushing Avenue are losing their space, only nine months after closing the Life Cafe outpost in the East Village. Apparently a new bar/cafe space is moving in. Finally Grub Street writes about The Cobra Club, “a yoga studio, bar, and hot-dog joint… at 6 Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick.”
Park Slope
Dale Talde spills more details on Pork Slope, opening July or August. Is Bierkraft looking to extend its reach? Apparently so, since Here’s Park Slope noticed the business is applying for grants to allow them to expand. You can vote here to support the grant. The Indian restaurant on 5th Avenue, Baluchi’s, reopened after being shuttered by the DOH. Finally, two new openings on 5th Avenue: Brooklyn Crepe and Juice at 169 5th Avenue and Zito’s North (the second sandwich joint for the neighborhood) at 195 5th Avenue.
Elsewhere
We hear that the owners of uber-popular ice cream shop Ample Hills are looking to open a second Brooklyn location, with a target opening in late 2012. The biz is currently in Prospect Heights. Ciro’s opens in the old Fall Cafe space on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens. According to a PMFA commenter, “It’s Italian all the way.” A pizza place is moving onto Foster Avenue in Ditmas Park, welcome news for the nabe.
Love that sign.
