Miles of roads stretching from as north as Whitestone, Queens, to the south shore of Staten Island still remained treacherously unplowed last night because of the shameless job action, several sources and a city lawmaker said, which was over a raft of demotions, attrition and budget cuts.” The subject line of the email from a reader yesterday morn that included this photo: “This is Fulton street?”

  1. Imagine union members in a world of deferred compenssation tied to performance and profitability!!!!

This is how the best of the best compensate people…MSFT, INTC, AAPL, pharmaceuticals, etc, etc, etc.

  2. “Dave, if you think that company’s don’t maintain wage levels and benefits at a level just high enough to make unionization seem unnecessary to the majority of their workers, then…in your words…you’re just a fool.”

    Some do, but most don’t.
