Start fasting, Clinton Hillers. Cochinita, a new taqueria, is scheduled to soft-open tomorrow at noon in its newly-renovated storefront at 922 Fulton Street. (The official opening party is on June 3.) According to the Village Voice, the restaurant will feature several yummy-sounding tacos including cochinita pibil (pork braised in oranges, spices, and banana leaves) as well as sides like cactus salad and some horchata to wash it down. Even better, the owner is from the neighborhood. Bring. It. On. GMAP

  1. m4l- It was good, not great, and not as cheap as tacos should be, but they aren’t serving fancy-pants tacos either.

    But I’ll most certainly be back. (I live between Salva Vida and Cochinta.)
