Just in time for summer, the DOT has finished installing two new green streets in Gowanus and Carroll Gardens. According to the Community Board Six newsletter, the first garden is at Union Street and 3rd Avenue (pictured left), the second at Hamilton Avenue/Henry Street/Luquer Street (pictured right). These locations were built as part of the Downtown Brooklyn Traffic Calming project. The plantings were installed and will be maintained by the Parks Department.
