A few tips have come in about the French bistro opening at 2 Metrotech Center. It’s called La Defense, and one reader says it “looks like a large bar, funky bistro/pop
art/new wave decor and a similar space to Five Guys next door.” Yesterday Fort Greene Patch ran a piece about it, saying it will have “a menu filled with staples like the burger made with fresh ground chuck, wild salmon in chimichurri sauce and roasted chicken with broccoli rabe.” It opens next week. maybe this is somewhat authentic – a french person prob doesn’t know that the burger race in nyc is far from ground chuck – although that bodes well for the fries! i like the name, this looks promising.
