Another new Myrtle Avenue business is in the works at 474 Myrtle, between Hall and Washington, which we were told will soon be a bar. The storefront was previously an “Optimum Care Rehab.” A DOB application to convert the space into an eating and drinking establishment was approved a couple months ago. Anyone heard more details about the soon-to-be watering hole? GMAP

  1. BTW, I’m hearing more and more from longtime residents of Clinton Hill that actually not much of anybody has ever called Myrtle Avenue “Murder Avenue.” Myth, apparently. Sounds like something the Post made up.

I met a tenant who rents upstairs from this place who was told it’s going to be a nice, chill lounge. Of course, that’s what you would tell a tenant who lives upstairs from the bar you’re building.

Agree with BSD that they should have kept the name Optimum Care Rehab. Woulda been brilliant.

  2. I’m happy for this, Myrtle is finally becoming the retail destination it always was intended to be. I’m a big fan of Maggie Brown and a slew of other eateries on what used to be known as Murder Avenue.
