brobos love sushi, can’t get enough of it. Horde the stuff in their sub-zeros.
Metal poisoning? The good news is that Clinton Hill is getting it’s share of the Sushi wave!! an Hibachi & Sushi bar is coming soon to Fulton St. I will get some pictures tomorrow
The first guy that opens a combo sushi/banh mi joint in park slope will be a billionaire.
momofuku! yum. even better than chinese.
max,
When I spoke to a worker there he told me “Japanese, Sushi” so you’re probably right … there will be a larger selection of Japanese than simply sushi.
Oh, a noodle shop. That’s a different story. Basically my spaghetti and meatballs idea.
But I still like the image in my head of folks standing on the sidewalk eating mounds of spaghetti and meatballs on big white plates.
Any reco’s for decent south slope sushi? Of casual dining/take out nature?
I am told it will be a Japanese noodle bar – soba and udon and what have you – not a sushi place. I got this information a couple weeks ago when I poked my head into the empty space and asked a man who was looking at plans – he said he is one of the proprietors.
So, since soba and udon are under-represented victuals in Park Slope, I am pretty enthusiastic about the place opening.
aunt suzies already exists…
seriously, someone thinks this stretch of 5th needs another sushi joint? almost like hari kari.
otoh, i good chinese restaurant would be welcome.
