Construction is going on at 276 5th Avenue, between 1st and Garfield, and according to one worker the place is slated to become a sushi restaurant. There seem to be a lot of sushi restaurants popping up around Park Slope and Prospect Heights, so it’s either a good thing residents will have plenty of options to choose from or it will only be a matter of time before we see some closing soon. 1. Just so that you have it tagged properly (in case people want to search later) the post from yesterday about Dunkin Donuts space on Flatbush which is becoming sushi is on the Park Slope side of Flatbush, not Prospect Heights.

It’s pretty much accepted that anything on the south side (BKLarder) is considered Park Slope and anything on the north (Franny’s) is considered Prospect Heights.

  2. has anyone else noticed that many Chinese people own and run sushi resteraunts in BK?
if the chef is properly trained like a Japanese sushi chef than cool but if not….
    Just saying…..
