Excuse me, but the pumpkins are giving me nightmares.
D, I wouldn’t know if they have 4 Bloomberg screens open. Perhaps they are super hero multi-taskers just like you. Me? When I work, I have to concentrate on what I’m doing.
In re the Post’s Levin as Lopez’s Lackey article: how unusual is it for a Councilmember to allocate tens of thousands of dollars for organizations outside of his district? It struck me as disgraceful, but is this politics as usual or particularly awful?
dave – some of things you say are very insightful, but these statements are just dumb. how do you know what works for freelancers? you do not seem to make your living from either creative ideas, so why question other peoples’ working methods? if people get motivation from working in public rather than in their home, as the author states worked for him, who are you to argue with him?
Atlas is my favorite coffee shop in WB, not so much for the best coffee, which is blue bottle or el beit, or oslo even, but the food is great and the italians that run it are very cool and have created a good atmosphere.
The Cobble Hill link is correct, but is mistitled: the delinquent building is in Boerum Hill.
Here’s an example of how I’m both posting on brownstoner AND working at the same time…
The renminbi had a strong move up last night (CNY). We are buying ZNH ahead of Hu Jintao’s visit in january because we think China will let the currency rise. ZNH (China Southern Airlines) is the biggest beneficiary of a strong renminbi because it has a lot of USD debt.
It moved up 66% in Sept-Oct when they let the currency rise.
I hope they don’t kick me out of the neighborhood for saying this, but I wish Park Slope would get over the plane crash. It was 50 years ago, but you can’t mention Sterling/7th without someone saying, “You know, that’s where the plane crashed.”

And yet, I’m right.
if they were buff mexican guys hanging out in there on laptops you’d think it was the best place on earth, and would be googling how to get to Havemeyer/Grand St.
And yet, I’m right.
