My landlady makes everyone in the building do her work and keeps upping our rent, which isn’t discounted at all. She just kicked out the tenants who did the most work, and the hallways have years of dust in them, though I’ve cleaned my part three times. I had to wear a mask while I did it, no joke.

oh i read that article about renters doing super-like tasks for rent reductions. but the rent reductions they talked about for some were so paltsy ( is that a word?) like 100 dollars rent reduced for sorting thru an entire buildings dirty trash? ick. how hard up do you have to be to sort everyones garbage to get 100 dollars reduced in your rent?
