But if you’re a female gingko with no male, can you get alimony?
DIBS – It’s only one sex of the ginko that creates the smell of feces (I forget whether it’s the male or female). Most landscapers are pretty diligent about specifying the right sex of plant. Philly screwed up, that’s why they have this problem. It is possible to have a ginko and not suffer through the dog shit problem if you get the right sex though.
daveinbedstuy: for precisely that reason the city now plants only male ginkgoes, which do not fruit. The remaining female ginkgo trees are from decades ago (and, thus, are huge and drop a lot of stinky fruit).

“alimony” i cannot believe such an archaic thing like that even exists in modern civilization. damn lazy housewives!

great idea – cheap drinks, sunshine and good company. What better way to spend an afternoon/evening in Brooklyn?!

She didn’t have a good lawyer???
I read the NY Times economic writer’s sob story over the weekend and am infuriated. It was HIS JOB to write about the system and he still got suckered into it.
And now he’s going to get bailed out by a book….
