  1. I heard the horn and took my dog down there for a walk. Red Hood was hopping! There were as many people and cars in Red Hook as there were in Carrol Gardens on the other side of othe BQE. A lemonade stand would have done very well. The police presence was also noticeable. They seemed mostly to be there to direct traffic and give directions. Directing traffic in Red Hook on a Saturday afternoon was truly a sight to behold.

    I take my kids down there to ride bikes on weekends because there usually are almost no cars. Now where will we ride?
