A Long Island Railroad train derailed at Brooklyn’s Atlantic Terminal this morning around 8:20 a.m., causing minor injuries to 103 people, according to officials.

The train sped past the platform and hit the bumper block, coming to an abrupt stop and partially derailing, reported the New York Daily News.

The crash comes on the heels of several train derailments in the Tri-State area, including a similar accident in September when a NJ Transit train hit the bumper block in Hoboken, injuring 100 and killing one woman. A G train derailed in Brooklyn in September 2015 but no one was hurt.

The worst recorded accident in NYC subway history took place in Brooklyn in 1918. The Malbone Street Wreck, as it is known, killed 97 people and injured more than 200. Malbone Street was renamed Empire Boulevard following the incident.

Passengers documented the chaos on social media.
