Potter-about-town Jonathan Adler (or, as his new signage puts it, “your 24-hour pot dealer”) is bringing his trendy mix of lamps, plates and home furnishings to 378 Atlantic Avenue between Hoyt and Bond Streets. The sign in the window confirms the teaser that’s been on his website. Excited? GMAP

  1. $5,000 for a sofa now? The upholstered furniture used to be about the same price as Pottery Barn and the quality was far superior. I guess they are now doing custom, hand-tied, etc. Anyway, expensive furniture lasts and lasts. I buy it used. Jonathan Adler is fun. I admire his needlepoint pillows.

  2. Thank you, Wasder! I try to be. But hey, that’s life in the big city. I’ll have to somehow manage to overcome my profound disappointment at being ridiculed by a stalker who doesn’t know me but seems to have been personally insulted by something I posted (I guess).

  3. $5,000 dollars for a sofa? I’m by no means an interior design buff but that seems a little bit steep – if I’m wrong please let me know.

Isn’t there a West Elm in Dumbo? I’ve always liked their stuff.

That being said – does anyone know a place in Brooklyn where I could get a good sofa for < $1,000?? My JC Penny $300 special has seen better days.
