Jonathan Adler Coming to Atlantic Avenue!
Potter-about-town Jonathan Adler (or, as his new signage puts it, “your 24-hour pot dealer”) is bringing his trendy mix of lamps, plates and home furnishings to 378 Atlantic Avenue between Hoyt and Bond Streets. The sign in the window confirms the teaser that’s been on his website. Excited? GMAP

DH – CB2 is poorly constructed. it may look ok in their catalog photos but the stuff is…
best bet is to go to craigslist and do a search for “DWR sofa” within your price range and you’ll find choices in brooklyn and manhattan from lots of brands – “DWR” is just an easier way to do a search for modern sofas. and also look for floor sample sales at DWR and other stores like that. it’s a step above CB2 in terms of design and construction and still within your budget if you get a gently used sofa.
I guess if I can’t take the heat – or have nothing to say about a particular posting by Mr. B – I should keep my fingers off the keyboard. I wonder if I could actually learn something instead of talking about myself all day long.
(Not DIBS, snark. Wasder, if everyone could be as nice as you on this site, I would have nothing to say. Word to the wise.)

Ahhh, well, so much for that grand theory.
> CB2. Love their stuff.
I like the look of a lot of CB2 stuff, but be sure to check it out in person. Much of the construction quality seems to be a bit shoddy.
True – I didn’t realize that every sofa is available in different fabrics – so I’m sure 5,000 is higher end leather or something. Really nice looking stuff though.
For a website that focuses mostly on the aesthetics of the exteriors of homes – sometimes how the interior is decorated makes all the difference.
CB2 looks good – their track sofa is pretty much what I’m looking for and is $999. thx!
agree with 11217 on CB2. Love their stuff.
There is one couch that’s $5000 on the website, and the rest are more like $2500-3500 from what I can tell.
That’s not obscene for a nice couch of high quality, like many of Adler’s stuff is. The pillows are especially great.
DH – what about CB2?
“ghettoazzpnkbtch is just DIBS thinly disguised”
It’s not really important. Oh, and while the story I told about sleeping with a co-worker is true, it happened in 1990 during my first marriage. While that would certainly qualify as “personal information,” since no one here actually knows me, it’s pretty much innocuous. The posters I referred to put pictures of themselves and their friends on this blog. Not the same thing.
Snark,
Pretty sure that is not the case, unless DIBS is even craftier than I thought :). Ghettoazz appears to have posted a couple of times last Weds night, while DIBS was at the get together at Rope.
