IRIS-CAFE-040711
Iris Cafe satisfied a much-needed food fix in Brooklyn Heights, and it’s been embraced as a neighborhood coffee shop since opening in 2009. The cafe just applied to CB2 for a beer and wine license, as it wants to extend hours until 11 p.m. during the week and serve dinner. We called Iris and were told there’s not much to report yet, but that the cafe was definitely hoping to turn into a full-fledged restaurant; before that happens, there are a bunch of details to iron out. The dinner menu would be different than the brunch options but “similar in style.” Here’s hoping that everything works out! GMAP
