The tweet goes on. For the third year, Brooklyn Based‘s Indie Media Camp drew local bloggers, social media mavens, and online educators to Dumbo’s Made in NY Media Center on Wednesday.
Following a keynote from the New York Times’ Assistant Masthead Editor Clifford J. Levy, the day’s panels covered topics including growing your audience on social media, how to take jaw-dropping smartphone pics, dive into podcasting, and the economics of freelancing.
A panel discussion moderated by Brooklyn Based’s Nicole Davis featured Gothamist co-founder and publisher Jake Dobkin, Northside Media Group co-founder Daniel Stedman, and editors from Medium and Buzzfeed. The day wrapped with a convivial cocktail party.

“The hardest thing about being a writer is being stuck in your own head… Don’t ever get stuck in your head. It’s a bad place to be.” #imc
