There’s enough red food coloring in that cake to pickle a baby, but it does taste SO good!
my only complaint with the cake man is that crumbs from his red velvet cake stained by brick patio. only after some elbow grease and rainstorms did it go away. but the cake was worth it!
What, you didn’t get him to comp you the cake in exchange for the blog post? For shame!
yeah, but lard is soooooooo good.
these cakes (esp frosting) taste like lard to me.
$55 for a cake that feeds over 20 people is really reasonable. Cheaper cake=cheaper ingredients (like scads of shortening)=bad tasting cake.
I’ve never been impressed by Cake Man’s cakes. I don’t get the hype. But I think the guy himself is great.
Cake Man really needs to find a larger space so that he can expand his business. The demand is clearly there, but his current shop is much to small.
$55 for a cake in FG and SOOOOOOO worth it. Seriously, the best red velvet cake I’ve ever had, and I’m born and raised in the South. I live in NJ and drive to FG to Get.That.Cake!!!!
