The mad egg-tosser who lives in the Novo has once again lashed out at the dog run underneath the 4th Avenue condo. A few nights ago, a woman says she brought her dog to the run so he could do his evening business and someone chucked an egg down at her from the condo. On the one hand: As in the incident four weeks ago, the dog and owner were in the run in the evening, when it’s supposed to be closed. On the other: The woman says her dog wasn’t making noise, and that she’s been taking him to the run at night since it opened more than a year ago. Questions abound among the run’s users. Is the egger perhaps a teenager, or just a crazy person? Do most of the Novo’s residents feel enmity towards the dog run? When will peace be restored in the Slope???

In other words, “I’ve been committing the same petty, annoying offense for a year and it’s never come back to haunt me, so why can’t I keep doing it?”
Some people have no sense of how their actions are just self-serving.
DS, I think the point is, You have a beef say something, dont throw an egg.
In a hypothetical situation, IF the egg is thrown first, THEN you shoot the thrower in the face with a bb gun.
Not Throwing egg at dog = Not OK.
Shooting person in face with BB gun = OK.
DH, native NY’ers, and Brooklynites are a bunch of NIMBY’s, what more do you expect than for them to bitch and moan about people from a place they’ve never been themselves?

lol okay good point on that. but i think i’d be smart enough to do a little research before moving next to such a thing, you know? i.e. i would never move to a block with a school on it and then complain everyday at 3pm. as people have previously said about this place, there were two dog runs there before the yuppie tower was erected, so boohoo for the residents if they have to deal with a dog, (but like i said, people SHOULD obey the hours posted.. but that’s another issue totally)

bxgirl, the bb gun would be for self defense and retaliation against someone who attacked FIRST (well my dog first). and it’s a really hypothetical situation. do you seriously think i would even have the balls to do such a thing? it’s nice to think i would, but i probably wouldnt, and you know that too. this person throwing the egg is just doing it because they are probably annoyed by some teeny slightly like a little bark or a dog fart. big difference!!! it’s all about the motive!
