Hopes for Cobble Hill Hooters Dashed

Talk about blog bait! Remember the storefront at 232 Court Street, which has sat empty after the neighborhood dry cleaners couldn’t pay the rising rent? Well, imagine our confusion when we saw a sign go up for Hooters soon after they revealed the newly constructed storefront. While the teenage boys passing by seemed pretty psyched for the prospect of a Hooter’s in their neighborhood, we hate to break it to them: “The guys working on the building were just joking around,” explains the owner. “I haven’t rented it yet.” Cobble Hill homeowners can now breathe a big sigh of relief. (Update: Pardon Me For Asking spoke with a worker on the site, who told her a real estate office is coming to the building. We think the owner may have been speaking of the additional space on Baltic Street to us.) GMAP
There are hooters in Prospect Park, but they have feathery wings and only come out at night…
M4L – your wife isn’t going for the food – she tags along to keep an eye on you. Or maybe she goes for the same reason I do: the servers’ butts look very cute in the orange shorts!
nycdelisauce, your story is cinematic. It’s wierdly like ‘The Graduate’ or ‘The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz’ or maybe ‘Superbad’.
Write a screenplay.
AREN’T ^^^
Sheesh, I better go back to sleep. : (
JB, wife loves going to hooters
Thanks, Emily! : )
“Isn’t it a bit rude to discuss Cobble’s hooters? And she makes brownies, not wings.”

Teenage boys don’t go to Hooters.”
I’ve only been to hooters as a teen.
First time was after a friends’ bar mitzfah. Afterward we watched Basic Instinct and he received his father’s porn collection. I guess his father was a very religious man and wanted to uphold the notion that my friend was now a man.
