Dine in Brooklyn routinely sparks debate about whether great restaurants serve sub-par meals for the promotion, but there are still places where the $21.12 prix fixe is clearly a steal. Or so say folks on the Chowhound boards, where favorite DiB spots include Tempo in Park Slope and Tanoreen in Bay Ridge.
But the Slope’s Stone Park Cafe is only offering the DiB menu at lunch this year, and Al di La isn’t participating at all, which has some ‘hounds steamed. Given Al di La’s regular prices and the perpetual overcrowding there, we’re not sure how good it would be during the promotion anyway especially when there are plenty of less scene-y (and arguably more delicious) options like Queen and Bocca Lupo. What places are on your Dine in Brooklyn list? Any great values you’ve found in the past?
DineIn Brooklyn any sleepers? [Chowhound]
Just ate at Pete’s Waterfront on Atlantic Ave. DiB is dinner for two including beef and pork ribs, brisket, pulled pork and BBQ chicken. It was utterly satisfying and enough for 4, all at the $21.12 pricetag!
They also have a 3 course DiB but we bypassed and went straight for the dinner for two.
Queen and Bocca Lupo more delicious than Al di La? You are $21.12 worth of crazy! Bocca Lupo even in the same breath as Al di La is crazy as it is. At least one can be somewhat impressed at Queen…
