135 Joralemon, I believe, at the north end of Sidney Place. It burned on Christmas or New Year’s eve (2004/2005), although it was in bad shape before the fire. Owners also own a number of carriage houses on Hunt’s Lane, which is behind Joralemon, between Clinton and Henry. Those houses are just shells, but also worth millions.

Yes, the old lady in the wedding dress is fiction…Great Expectations, Charles Dickens. Great old movie adaptation also, a very young Alec Guinness playing the role of Pip.
Maybe this is a memory myth, but I seem to remember seeing this place on Joralemon, near the top of Sidney (or maybe Garden)? Does that sound right to anyone?
