Some states have used wiretapping laws and similar statutes that make recording conversations without the permission of all parties illegal to prosecute people for recording police activities without the permission of the offices.
So far, the courts have generally been in favor of the police.

This is just stupid. You want to ticket cyclists for ignoring traffic laws, that’s one thing. But why must everything be taken to one extreme or the other. Sheesh.
